Our company was founded in 1994. When we first started out, we specialized in providing third party logistics services to the freight and express courier companies only.

Over time, we evolved around our customers’ transport and logistics needs. We did this by expanding our range of services in line with our customers’ needs that became more complex, reflecting the changes in the dynamic world we live in.

Today, we provide a comprehensive range of services and customized transport solutions – from sea freight to air freight to transshipment; from distribution to warehousing to international courier services.

From a small office in where, we now operate out of a 2,000 sq ft of administrative and sales office in location. We might have grown substantially, but our service mantra remains the same… Personalized Service!

Management Team

Planet Logistics was founded by veteran Winnie Tan in 1994, after a fulfilling career spanning 18 years working for various multinational freight and courier companies. 2 years later, she was joined by “Can Do” transport expert Eddy Quek, who brought along with him a decade of personal partnerships he built while working for a renowned multinational logistics company. This talented duo clocks more than 30 years of experience in many aspects of transport and logistics – from customer service to sales and marketing, route planning, and management.

Together, they have led the Planet Logistics team to great success.

Air freight

We are in the business of designing customized service solutions that meets your unique business or personal needs. We believe that no two transport needs are exactly the same.

Are you looking for someone to help add value to your supply chain? Such as someone who can coordinate your multi-modal transport program to transport your cargo from key sourcing locations in Asia to your markets? Or are you looking for someone to handle critical and time-sensitive documents across international borders?

No matter your need, we want to help you come up with just the right solution to get your cargo to the right destination in the right quantities at the right time, at fair rates.

Typically, time-sensitive cargo such as perishables or livestock, or high-value, low volume cargo (e.g. electronics, pharmaceuticals, artworks) are sent by air. We work closely with our air partners to source the best airfreight solution.

Sea freight

Almost anything can be carried via sea: from heavy and oversized cargo like prefab concrete slabs to sand for construction to cars. This type of cargo is known as conventional (or bulk) cargo.

Containerized shipments are shipments that use a container to contain the cargo. In general, there are two types of containerized shipments – FCL (Full-Container Load) or LCL (Less than a Container Load). LCL shipments are consolidated shipments – one container can be opened a number of times at different terminals for other cargo to be included in it.

Sea-Air/Air-Sea Transhipment

This refers to the transport of a load of cargo by one document via different transport methods without breaking up the same load of cargo. Transport options usually include a combination of air-sea, sea-air, with inland transport arrangements. In Singapore, inland transport usually means trucking, but in other countries, this can also mean by rail. Another term for transhipments is “multi-modal transportation”.

We can help add value to your supply chain by taking over the coordination of your multi-modal transport program, such as moving from your key sourcing areas in Asia to your markets elsewhere in the world. By “coordinate” we mean we will find and implement the most efficient transport solution, handle all the documentation – including multiple customs clearances (if necessary), and arrange for all the inland transport, distribution and warehousing needs that might be required along the way.
