With more than 65 years of experience in the air cargo business, SATS is one of the busiest cargo and mail handlers in the world providing airfreight, mail, express and courier services to more than 300 international and local freight forwarders in Singapore. SATS offers a broad range of services to meet the challenges of handling cargo in the most efficient ways and shortest time possible using our in-house developed warehouse management system, the COSYS-Intelligent Solutions (COSYS-IS), with other advanced technology such as Radio Frequency Identification Systems, Automated Material Handling Systems (MHS) and web-based warehouse management system for real-time flight and shipment tracking.
SATS Coolport: Perishable and Pharmaceutical Handling
Strategically located within the Free Trade Zone, SATS Coolport is Asia’s first on-airport perishables handling centre, with an estimated annual operating capacity of 250,000 tonnes. A sophisticated hub in the Asia Pacific region delivering exceptional handling standards to guarantee a complete, reliable and secure cold chain for land, sea and airfreight, SATS Coolport is also accredited by IATA as the World’s first IATA Centre of Excellence in Pharmaceutical Handling and IATA Centre of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) in Pharmaceutical Handling for its initiative in upgrading infrastructure, processes and skillset to exceed expectations of the stringent handling requirements of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical airfreight. IATA Accredited Training Centre: Cargo Handling Courses / IATA Diploma in Air Cargo
As an IATA Accredited Training Centre, SATS offers a comprehensive range of cargo knowledge-driven training courses to cater to the various needs of the airfreight industry. Our certified trainers have over 30 years of experience and are able to provide Initial, Recurrent and Awareness training on the handling of general and specialized cargo (such as dangerous goods and time and temperature sensitive cargo), leading up to an IATA Diploma in Air Cargo.
Ground Support Equipment Courses
Working closely with various educational institutions in the air transport industry to nurture the next generation of workers, SATS is a Ground Support Equipment Training Centre, which is accredited by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) as an Approved Training Organization for WSQ courses and certified by Changi Airport Group as an Approved Training Centre. We offer various ground support equipment courses conducted by our specialized and experienced training instructors such as:
- Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Operate Forklift Course (WSQ subsidy available)
- Changi Airside Roadway System (CARS) Course
- Initial (for people with no airport driving permit)
