COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course is intended to meet the regulatory training need in compliance with the new training provisions on DGR 63rd edition based on job functions, to be implemented, with effect from 1st January 2023. In addition, this course is especially for freight forwarders who are IATA cargo agents applicants willing to fulfill the training requirements for Dangerous Goods Regulations.
H.1.1.2 states that personnel must be trained to competently perform the function for which they are responsible. These responsibilities are determined by the specific functions the personnel perform and not by their job titles.
This course specially targets personnel who want to attain mastery level at verifying and validating lithium batteries shipments during cargo acceptance. Such specialized knowledge is to ensure full compliance to applicable provisions of the Regulations, particularly, with relevant UN numbers and packing instructions on lithium batteries shipments.
Upon completion of this 3 days competency-based training assessment course, this individual is accredited to be equipped with expert knowledge on lithium batteries to competently perform the tasks at verifying and validating these lithium batteries shipments. Various assessment modes are determined to assess their skills, knowledge and attitude competency at the attained levels of proficiency.

ACCREDITATION & EXAMINATION
SAAA’s co-branded IATA Secured Digital Award (SDA) Certificate is awarded to participants who successfully obtained a grade of 80% or higher based on overall assessment format. Pass with distinction is awarded to participants who did exceptionally well at above 90%.

Training commences from 9am to 6pm.
WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND OF FEES
On withdrawal of course upon acceptance, participant is required to write to SAAA Cargo Services Pte Ltd through their respective companies.
Refund is only applicable based on the notification period. Else, below penalty applies.
